1974 et 1975 furent des années fastes pour Eric Clapton. Après quatre ans de silence, il s'installe en avril 1974 dans les légendaires Criteria Studios de Miami pour y enregistrer ce qui deviendra le plus grand album de sa carrière solo 461 Ocean Boulevard. Give Me Strength: The '74/'75 Sessions retrace ces années riches en création pour Slowhand puisque, dans la foulée, il enregistrera There's One In Every Crowd et le live E.C Was Here.
