Closer is the second and final album by the Manchester group. Certainly the group's most accomplished album, but also the least accessible.
Closer is an album of rare beauty, sometimes dark and ambiguous.
In the nine tracks of this album, the darkness is lifted by simple but powerful melodies and arrangements, and like a kind of audio commentary of a tortured soul (that of Ian Curtis ). It is no less captivating.
