The Devil's Legacy, in partnership with Hellfest Corner & Metalliquoi! First channel on metal in France (110k subscribers on Youtube)

A little over 50 years ago, hard rock was born, the ill-bred offspring of a rock and pop scene in full mutation. Ten years later, it mutated. The first time, it became heavy metal and, ten years later, just metal. Today, it is more alive than ever, as the multitude of groups that perform in Clisson, each year, on the occasion of Hellfest , clearly demonstrates. The number and diversity of the styles offered are a reflection of a music that has often been buried, in vain.

The goal of The Devil's Legacy is not to make an exhaustive panorama, for that we would need an encyclopedia. But rather to isolate the major trends and go back to its origins. Roughly speaking, what can connect a Led Zeppelin to Sabaton and in what way is Hatebreed the heir of Black Sabbath ? For greater clarity, the book is divided into decades (1970, 1980 and 1990). With a conclusion devoted to the 21st century and the perspectives that are still opening up today. Similarly, the introduction goes back to the 1940s to determine what the pillars of this musical monument are. It is therefore a question of establishing a genealogy of metal and, for that, what better than to use trees? We will also find numerous chronicles, playlists, the pillar of this temple erected to the glory of decibels and freedom.
