Rozedale - Rozedale
Description
If this name doesn't ring a bell, it's because you're not hanging around in the right places! After releasing 2 studio albums - the very good "Long Way To Go" and the renowned "Wide Awake" (blues album of the year 2018) - and a "live at Woodstock Guitares" album, our two accomplices Amandyn ROSES and Charlie FABERT have tirelessly carved out their furrows in European clubs and festivals, making their music resonate there, dressed in Charlie's razor-sharp riffs and enhanced by Amandyn's voice. Rozedale, put on standby by the pandemic, dropped off his suitcases at the very legendary ICP studio to record his new opus, mixed by Chris Sheldon (Radiohead, Foo Fighters...). Finesse and balance are in tune here, magnified by instrumentalists who have the rare ability to put the right note on the right word, simply, without adding anything...
An art of melody that in no way obscures the chiseled lyrics that gracefully reveal themes that often, however, lead us to reflection. Qualities that have certainly already impressed Ben Harper but that have especially managed to rally here the talents of Cali (author of the only French-language title on the album: Ce soir je t'aime) and Louis Bertignac (flamboyant soloist on Burning). Two associations placed under the sign of mutual respect and a communicative desire to move forward. An energetic and racy firebrand, Rozedale (the album) leads us into the meanders of our thoughts and hopes, it pushes us to believe that in 2021, with Rozedale (the group), nothing will ever be the same again...
