Description

This is a story that goes beyond your imagination. It is the crazy story of a brand that produced only a little over 3,000 machines in twenty years of existence, associated the name Rolls-Royce with its own and had as its most loyal customer a certain Thomas Edward Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia . Created by George Brough in 1919, Brough Superior still shines in the firmament of the most prestigious manufacturers.

This book is an invitation to discover the magic of this brand, which once again produces exceptional motorcycles near Toulouse, revealing the enchantment of a road trip taken in the footsteps of the young TE Lawrence, who had crossed France in 1908 during an initiatory journey, heralding his fabulous destiny. This book is also an opportunity to discover the incredible Aston Martin AMB001 and the Lawrence , the latest creation from the Brough Superior factory.

Like a Brough Superior, this book has been designed with the greatest care to provide you with pleasure and sensations. By David Dumain and Jean-Louis Basset

Lawrence of Arabia

It was on July 14, 1908, that Thomas Edward Lawrence entered history, under the legendary name of Lawrence of Arabia. He disembarked from the Alma with his three-speed Morris bicycle in Le Havre. As he had done the previous year when he had explored the West of France with his father in August. The day before, in London, the opening ceremony of the IV Olympiad took place while in Paris, the sixth edition of the Tour de France had started. But Ned, as his friends nicknamed him, preferred to avoid the tumult of the capitals. He set off to complete his own Tour which would last two full months.
