Author
Bertrand DICALE
Bertrand Dicale, a journalist for the written press, radio (at France Info, in particular) and television, is the author of around thirty works devoted to artists (Serge Gainsbourg, Juliette Gréco, Georges Brassens, Daniel Darc, Charles Aznavour, etc.) or to the history of popular culture (Ni noires ni blanches – histoire des musiques créoles, Dictionnaire amoureux de la chanson française, etc.).
A West Indian born in Paris, he readily confesses his passion for rock'n'roll and his fascination with the character of Elvis Presley, a Protestant from the Southern United States – that is to say, for him, a sort of cousin from a Creole culture intertwining cultures, heritages and traumas of a slave society.
