Gérard Pont was born in 1957 in Brest. He was first director of the Dialogues bookstore, then producer of the Élixir festival. In 1990, he founded the Morgane group, specializing in the recording of live shows or the production of audiovisual programs such as BASIQUE on France 2. Since 2005, he has been the director of the Francofolies festival and the Printemps de Bourges.
