Francis Dordor is a music journalist, former editor-in-chief of the monthly Best and reporter for the weekly Les Inrockuptibles. In the 1970s, he explored Soul Music in particular and was among the first in France to take an interest in reggae. He stayed in Jamaica on numerous occasions, rubbing shoulders with the main figures of the local scene, notably Bob Marley, with whom he conducted several interviews. During his time at Les Inrockuptibles in the mid-1990s, he did numerous reports in Africa, the Caribbean, South America, Central Asia and the Middle East.
